Learn about Pilates

The Pilates method, (pronounced pul-LAH-teez) was developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920’s.  Pilates is similar to yoga, with a strong mind-body connection requiring you to concentrate while performing each movement.  The similarities to yoga don’t end there; the Pilates method also stresses proper breathing, body mechanics, posture, balance, coordination, strength and flexibility.
